5 Simple Ways to Stay Rooted in Faith During Hard Times

Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes we go through hard seasons — loss, stress, sickness, or just feeling overwhelmed. During those times, it’s easy to feel distant from God or wonder if He’s even listening.

But even in the hardest moments, God is with you.

Here are 5 simple ways to stay grounded in your faith when life gets tough.

1. Talk to God — Even When You Don’t Know What to Say

You don’t need perfect words or long prayers. Just speak from the heart. God already knows what you’re going through.

Try this: “God, I’m struggling. I feel lost. Please help me.”

2. Read a Little Bit of the Bible Every Day

You don’t have to read a whole chapter. Just a few verses can remind you of God’s love and give you strength.

Start with this verse:“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.”– Psalm 34:18

God’s Word is full of comfort and truth — especially in tough times.

3. Lean on Your Church Family

You weren’t meant to go through life alone. Reach out to someone at church — a friend, a pastor, or your small group. Ask for prayer. Share what’s on your heart.

“Carry each other’s burdens...” – Galatians 6:2

Let your church family walk with you.

4. Remember What God Has Done Before

Think back to times when God helped you through something hard. Remembering His faithfulness in the past helps us trust Him in the present.

You might say: “God helped me then. I believe He’ll do it again.”

Write it down. Thank Him for it. Hold on to it.

5. Keep Showing Up

When you’re hurting, it’s tempting to pull away. But don’t give up. Keep coming to church. Keep praying. Keep listening to worship music. Keep trusting.

Even if your faith feels small — God can work with a mustard seed.

You’re Not Alone ❤️

God is with you — in every tear, every fear, and every step.

If you're going through a tough time, our church is here for you.
